Visual Reflections from a Sunday with Family
📚 After a family lunch across several generations — parents (+/-80), brother and partner (+/-40), my partner and I (+/-50) and my daughter (12) — I proposed a small challenge: same paper, same pen, everyone writes the alphabet by hand.
✒️ Seven people. A simple task.
But the result? Seven completely different alphabets.
đź” Bold uppercase letters, loose and playful strokes, classic and traditional handwriting, modern and personal styles…
Each line became a small reflection of who we are and how we express ourselves.
Handwriting and drawing, after all, are a mirror of our personality, age, experience and even lifestyle.
❓Could you guess who wrote each alphabet? Do you see patterns or traits in common?
💡 This small exercise in family graphology goes far beyond the game — it invites reflection on identity, communication and the richness of human diversity.
🔍 In fact, it’s a perfect metaphor for design and visual communication.
Each handwriting reveals unique traits and emotions — just as every brand should express its essence through its own coherent and distinctive visual language.
🧩 When designing a brand identity, details matter most.
Like in this family exercise, it’s those subtle differences that convey values, personality and authenticity.
Understanding and appreciating them allows us to create communications that connect emotionally with people and strengthen brand identity and credibility.
