Is Your Company a Brand?

“Company” and “brand” are often used interchangeably — but they’re not the same.
A brand is the result of working on branding actions strategically and consistently, until the company becomes memorable, distinct and valued by society.

In other words: a brand is a company that has built a real bond with its audience.

At Canana.studio we suggest three essential first steps to start building a solid brand:

1. Analyse competitors and define your differentiation
Research who your main competitors are and assess what you like — and don’t like — about what they do. From there, define where you’ll stand out and list concrete actions to achieve it.

2. Build your identity from the start
Don’t wait months or years to develop your corporate and visual identity. Once your offer is clear, invest in it — it pays off. A well-built identity conveys professionalism, coherence and trust.

3. Be visible on social media
Open profiles on the platforms that fit your audience — Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, others — and publish with visual and strategic coherence. If possible, let a specialist handle it; if not, train yourself. The difference between posting by routine and posting with strategy is huge.

Every company has its own reality and starting point, but these three steps are a solid way to begin building a coherent, meaningful brand.
