7 Tips to Boost Productivity (Without Losing Your Mind)
Ah, productivity… 😩
We all know we “should” be productive — all the time. But it isn’t always that simple, is it?
Few things feel worse than wanting to move projects forward and realising you’re running on empty.
So here are 7 practical tips we use at Canana.studio to work better, stay focused and stay organised without burning out:
1️⃣ Use colour labels to organise emails
Create automatic filters so messages are filed directly into the right folder. Your inbox can be tidier than you think.
2️⃣ Write everything down (in one place)
Skip the 20 post-its. Use one notebook/app/doc for everything. If you write by hand, make sure you can read it later. 😅
3️⃣ Break big projects into micro-tasks
Large projects can be overwhelming. Splitting them into smaller, attainable tasks keeps motivation up and progress visible.
4️⃣ Prepare before you start
Make sure you have everything you need at hand and neatly arranged. Fewer interruptions, better flow.
5️⃣ Phone out of sight
Instagram can wait. 😅 Leave the phone elsewhere to regain deep focus and precious minutes of attention.
6️⃣ Sync your calendar
If you’re on Mac, make the most of iCal so nothing slips: meetings, deadlines, reminders.
7️⃣ Plan before you log off
Late on Friday, list what you’ll tackle next week. Each day, spend five minutes setting tomorrow’s tasks. You’ll start with clarity and direction.
